HP EX470 MediaSmart Home Server (AMD Live/ 64 Bit Sempron Processor, 500 GB Hard Drive)It’s a new platform.  It does lots of cool things.  Unfortunately, it’s so new there isn’t a lot of information out there on how to get these cool things done.

That’s where this site comes in.  We’ll try to supply simple “How To’s” for everything.  From the basics like sharing folders and getting remote access to work to more general ideas and instructions for how to use the software to actually make your life easier.

How We’re Going to Do It…

With your help!  We’ll provide the framework - the things we know people would like to do - then those of you who’ve succeeded post replies with your secrets.  We’ll organize them into simple FAQ’s that everyone - even those like ourselves with very little technical knowledge - can understand and use.

We’ve started to catergorize some of the basic tasks on the pages to the right.  If there are more sunjects you’d like to see covered leave a reply here and we’ll add ‘em to the list.

Thanks in advance for everyone who contributes.  We’ll do our best to integrate your comments into the FAQ’s as quickly as possible.
